We helped to pick up this ambulance from a local Herefordshire auction house last week.
Those of you with a keen eye will spot it was from East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust. It is one of four purchased by British Ukrainian Aid in the last ten days alone!
Why so many? It is a simple fact that the need for ambulances or stretcher carrying vehicles is outstripping the Ukrainian charities ability to keep up with demand.
Please support the charities that are trying to provide some sort of Emergency Medical Service in Ukraine. Such as SMART Medical Aid and Iryna Rybinkina or British Ukrainian Aid.
These ambulances are directly supporting the civilian emergency response or blue light matrix.Note that while the back of the ambulance is in good condition... ITS EMPTY.. No trauma equipment.. No oxygen... No defib.. No plasters for poorly paws.
An ambulance is only a van if there is no equipment in the back.
